The American businessman and writer Dale Carnegie revolutionized the analysis of human relationships thanks to an innovative approach that placed the other person, not oneself, at the center. The American businessman and writer Dale Carnegie revolutionized the analysis of human relationships thanks to an innovative approach that placed the other person, not oneself, at the center. He emphasized that in order to build bonds and relationships, it was essential not to flaunt oneself, but to make others shine. This is the key to any business project: to promote talent regardless of gender, bias or prejudice about who leads it.

The role of women in the business world continues to be the subject of study, both in Spain and abroad. This is partly because the promotion of diversity in companies, as well as in their management positions, contributes in terms of perspective, vision and heterogeneous sensitivity.

In this regard, organizations such as Credit Suisse and the Peterson Institute for International Economics have concluded through their own studies that betting on female talent means betting on a secure value, since global companies that include women in management positions tend to improve their profitability and performance. And those that have women on their boards of directors perform better than those that bet on an all-male composition.

On this point, both the agricultural sector and the specific sector of olive growing and EVOO production have a lot to say. Above all, insofar as there are examples of companies managed or led by women that play a structuring and empowering role. All this despite the fact that, according to official data from commercial statistics, 75% of Spanish companies do not have women in their management bodies.

Our sector has the capacity to become an engine of change through a concept based on talent, innovation and the generation of opportunities. This is how we understand it from Bolschare Group, which, although it was born to serve small farmers, in less than 10 years has become a company with more than 350 employees with lines of work covering asset management, international trade, technology and social impact.

Much of this growth is undoubtedly due to the unequivocal assumption of certain principles and values that serve as a daily guide. These include family, since people and their needs are an unwavering priority, as is the case in a large family; and responsibility, because how we are and how we understand the world determines the way we manage the business.

The emergence and consolidation of funds and family offices in the olive sector, as well as the growth of our field of action, is a reality that not only challenges us in terms of the steps we must continue to take. It also shows how important it is to analyze what we have done to get here. And at this point, once again, people and the need to promote talent appear. Regardless of biases or prejudices.
